Yeah, Man...

...is there anything better than a nuk on a nice spring day? She is really getting into it, right? SHE has been up in the night quite a bit here lately. It's a giant pain. I hope she settles down here soon. I'd like to move the girls in together, but when, Lord, when? It seems like it will never be a good time.

See Their Hands?

Hugging Lessons

She was hugging and hugging him and he wasn't hugging her back, so she'd take his hands and wrap them around her. It was so sweet, I was teaching her this weekend that that's how you hug. She really loves him so much - and she never seems to get disappointed that he never says HI back to her or anything. Ha, at this point, if he said HI, she'd probably fall over from shock!

Demon

Not really, but she looks a little demented here, right? She's had no nap at all today. She slept until 7:45 this morning and none of us knew what to do with her after that. Ha!

One Year Ago Today

We will have to do a Throwback Thursday here, as I haven't taken any pictures yet this week! I know! But something or other has been going on after school - it seems like we get home and I start dinner, and then Mike gets home, then we feed everyone, then everyone gets mad and cries, and then it's bedtime. :)

So here's Maria, one year ago today. Was she talking this time last year? I guess not much. Not like now, that's for sure. She has been saying so many sentences, it's hard to keep up with it. She does one thing, though, that is hysterical. She gets you really mad, like she'll do something she's not supposed to, or ignore you, or whatever, and then you get mad and you say, Maria, NO! or something, and she says, "Mommy, you okay?" If you say "No, I'm not okay, I'm mad as hell!" she says, super sad and serious, "Mommy. You okay?" Ugh. It's infuriating and adorable.

She gets up SO early. SOOOOOO early. This morning she made noise at 5:00 and Mike got her at 5:30. Anthony doesn't go to sleep until around 10:00 so we really want him to be able to sleep until 7:00 or so, so we can't have her WAILING away like she does. But I know we are sending the wrong message by going to get her. Now it's 10:00 and she is already up from her nap. She usually will sleep a little on the way to get Anthony, which makes her nicer, but then she's awake for a while after we put her to bed. This wouldn't normally be a problem, who cares, but I want to move Veronica in with her. It's insane - there is almost always someone up, 24 hours a day, here. My eye has been twitching for almost two weeks. But enough about me. Here's Maria, one year ago today, so cute. She was probably up too early last year too! Ha!

Lament

Poor Maria. Every whim catered to, every wish granted. Tough life.

Cheers!

Maria, with a Sunday morning donut. She asked to get dressed this morning, which doesn't just mean get dressed. It means go out in the car. But I was up and showered and dressed so off we went, to Dunkin Donuts. She was really good in the store, she said 'bye bye!' to the lady that helped us. Now it's 10:15 and she's up for a nap already. Damn early rising. :)

Pretty Baby

Tonight I put her hair up in a rubber band and it looked soooo cute. It was like Pebbles, like how I used to wear my hear when I was a wee baby. Of course, I was a GOOD baby and I didn't RIP it out seconds after my mother did it, but it was cute for two seconds anyway. Maria and I have had a nice day together, all in all. She took an early nap (9:15-10:45) and we went to my mom and dad's house for a visit. Then she hung out with me while I cleaned the livingroom and we went outside a little bit, and even though she told me she wanted to 'go shopping' and 'not get Anthony', we did end up going to get Anthony and she was fine.

Veronica has started to go off to sleep better, which Mike and I were talking about today. I said it's been hard for me to sleep train her but I just try and keep in mind how great it is that Maria just goes off to sleep, that it takes like 15 minutes total to give her a bath and put her to bed. It is something that I really, really like about Maria so I want to say it publicly since I am so willing to say the bad stuff. :)

Different

This doesn't even look like her does it? She took a LONG nap today, I had to go get her at 4:00! That never happens.

Shake

They all fell asleep on the way home the other day so I stopped at Starbucks to get myself something and Maria woke up and started screaming "Shake! Shaaaaaaaake!". So I got her and Anthony shakes, since she had woken him up too. She had a big day on Wednesday, we went to a playgroup, she had cupcakes and juice and then crashed on the way home. Then she slept again on the way to and home from getting Anthony. She didn't nap at all in her crib, which is the first time ever, I think.

Clothes

These clothes are from Candie, the skirt is adorable. Maria is very happy to be outside. She doesn't like to go outside alone, however, so it can lead to some problems when she wants to go outside but I don't, or can't. As usual, there is a little bit of good news and a little bit of bad news.
