Maria is sixteen months old today and in three days she will be a big sister. This is just the age difference between me and my brother John and that's worked out okay, so I am heartened.
Maria has been talking more these days, mostly nonsense, and mostly what sounds like orders! She points and talks and points and talks. She says Mommy and Daddy, shoe, eat, and loves The Itsy Bitsy Spider and the Wiggles song Rockabye Your Bear. She bursts into applause anytime she hears it, so she loves the begining of each half hour of the Today show. She's a funny duck and I told Mike last night, I really think she has been more pleasant over the last few days. Right in time!
