My friends Christie and Amy came over for lunch on Monday and they brought gifts for Maria. Christie brought her some long sleeved onesies from the Gap but they were 6-12 months so I took them and changed them for 3-6 months and while I was there I bought this outfit. It's 3-6 months and it's a little long but it's super soft and I really like her in red. She had a good night last night, eventually. Before she slept she fussed for about eight hours, it seemed like.

Baptism

 

 

 

 

Maria was baptized on Sunday. She was pretty cranky at the baptism and Anthony was kind of crazy, so Marita took the pictures. Anthony was really good at his baptism, though, so I can't complain. My mother in law made the cake and it was gorgeous and it tasted better than it looked! It was a nice day and I'm glad she's baptized. She was six weeks old but Anthony was only three weeks!

Six Weeks!

 

 

 

 

Six weeks and LOVING it. She really is getting bigger and more like 'a baby', as Mike said today. Her hair is longer and she's getting a little fatter (not in a BAD way, Chuck!). She's holding her head up really well and sleeping - dare I say it - not too badly. Last night she slept from 10:30-2:00 and 3:00-5:00 and the night before she slept from 10:00-4:00, which is a record for her (and for me, as it's the most sleep I've gotten since she's been born). So she's six weeks with a bullet!

The sweater is from Ann Elliot, the onesie is from Marita and the baby legs are from Laura. I can't keep her out of these pink and brown clothes, I think it's a good look.

This outfit is so cute - the top is from Kathryn and so are the socks. The RED line is a thing that Gap does and money from the line goes to an Aids in Africa charity. During the night, I was thinking I wanted to get Maria in it because it's so cute and it's not going to fit her forever. But I don't have pants to go with it and I think it's too cold to leave her pantsless, so I added the baby legs that Laura got for her. She looks kind of like a hobo, but I love it.

We gave her a bath tonight. We gave her one last week but it was such a traumatic experience that we've been loathe to do it again, but it went really well, she really liked it!

I bought this hat this weekend, but it's kind of big!

Four weeks!

 

 

 

 

I am pretty sure this outfit is from my Mom. Maria is finally able to get into her 0-3 month clothes. Again, I wonder what in the hell people do when they have littler babies, or preemies. It's crazy.

Thursday

 

 

 

She went to the doctor this week for her 3.5 week checkup. She weighed 10 lbs., 4 oz. and was 1 3/4" long. He gave us a prescription for Zantac, as she has reflux and he thinks maybe this is why she's so fussy. I hope so, it would be nice if there were a reason or something we could fix!

Monday

 

Asleep for 2 seconds. The top is from Chuck and Jim and the pants are borrowed from Marita. Maria does not like to sleep unless she is being held, but I am trying to put her down more as my back is *killing* me by the end of the day. I am happy to say she's in the swing now sleeping, and has been for over 10 minutes! It's the little victories, indeed.
