Maria was really good and pleasant - she slept all the way up there, she's so tired. We came home and I put her to bed after 7:00 and I swear I think she thought it was the middle of the night!

More Crawling

Here is another video. We really can't seem to capture her actually crawling because like her brother, the second she realizes what she's doing is making us happy, she stops immediately.

She is up in her crib right now, fussing away, refusing to nap. REFUSING. I am afraid that I am going to have to start letting her cry at night to get her on track. I hate it but man - I hate this worse, she has not napped for more than like 30 minutes in days. I have to take Anthony to physical therapy this afternoon and I just know she's going to be a mess and that makes Anthony upset and blah blah blah vicious cycle. Also, I saw a thing on the Today show today that said that heart attacks happen mostly on Mondays and that the Monday after we fall back they go down 5% and the Monday after we spring ahead they go up 5%. They said it was definite proof that if you do not sleep enough your risk of having a heart attack goes way up. So these kids are figuratively and literally killing me. Awesome.

Halloween Outfit

 

This is one of the outfits my mom sent for Maria for Halloween, also super cute. It's 12 months and is a little big. It's so funny that she is a more tiny size than I am used to, I keep forgetting. She was crawling (!) today at open gym someone asked me how old she was and I said almost 10 months and she said "she's so little!" and I was like little? I mean, I guess she is, but it's just funny to think about considering Anthony was in like 18 month clothes by now.

This sweater is from my mom and she bought brown pants to go with it but I already had her in these pink ones. She napped for about two seconds this morning which usually makes for kind of a grumpy day. She started crawling last night, though, I want to mention it before I forget. Soon I'll get a video of it and put it up.

Jumper

 

 

Mike's Grandmother sent this jumper to Maria several weeks ago but I am just now getting her in it. It's kind of short! I have her Babylegs from Laura if we go outside, though. She is in kind of a mood today, too. Here's to a better week!

I don't have anything nice to say so I'm not going to say anything.

Eating Apricots

 

She had a good night, I suppose. She was up at 1:15 and 5:20. It would be good if she were four months old! She had apricots for breakfast, then Cheerios, then a LOT of the apple cake I made yesterday. She's already back down for a nap so I guess we're not going to go to Open Gym today. I wasn't really looking forward to it, anyway, since I was scared to bring her and Anthony. I haven't done that since she was tiny and would just sit in her car seat. Anthony is home for the next two days so we are going to have some sibling bonding time. Whether we like it or not! :)

Or preparing too, anyway. She hates to be left on the floor but she is really making a lot of progress. So suck it, physical therapists! :)

Bottle

 

 

 

She's doing well with the bottle, she takes one a day and maybe next week I'll try and move her to two. She was up twice again last night, oh well.

Monday

 

I am happy to report that Maria slept all night from 6:45 to 7:30 and only woke up one time to eat, around 2:00. It would be nice to say that that, combined with her 90 minute nap this morning, made her sweet and happy but I can't. Because that would be a lie. She is as pissy as ever. :(

First Eggs

 

 

 

She ate only a little bit of eggs, but I think she had some. We are trying to feed her soft table food but there's not that much that I can think of. Yesterday she ate some pancake for breakfast and also for lunch. This morning I was giving her some pear/plum baby food that I made myself but man - we freeze it and then it gets super liquid-y when I thaw it out. I mix it with yogurt from our deliveries but that is kind of runny too - I find all organic yogurt to be runny - so eventually she ended up just drinking it. ANYWAY.

She is turning into a rotten, rotten sleeper. I can't believe my luck! Last night she went to bed early, 6:40 or so. Then she woke up at 10:00 to nurse and then again at 3:30 but THEN she was up basically for the day. It is MURDER for Mike and me. I went in to Anthony after nursing her last night because he was so crazy, but he calmed down pretty well, but then Mike and I were up until Mike went in at 6:00 and changed her diaper and rocked her a little and then finally before 7:00 he just went and got her. Ugh. I wish I could think it was teeth or something but she is still rocking the ONE tooth and she is never warm or seems uncomfortable. Just ... up. I am going to try to get her back on some kind of track. Wish us luck!

She was good, today. I mean, I carried her in the Bjorn, which she doesn't love, and she was still pretty cheerful. We walked across the street to the store and she waved at everyone she saw and smiled like she hadn't seen them in years! And she missed them!

Dilemma

 

I love her suspicious look in this picture and I love LOVE her foot but this picture had to be cropped all to hell to keep it decent. I don't mind naked pictures of my kids but I have to draw the line at putting them on the internet. Thanks a lot, weirdos! :)
