Eating!

 

Maria had puffs today, and a biter biscuit - all firsts. She is a crappy eater. I told her I didn't want to pressure her but man, Anthony was eating *circles* around her by her age. She can pick up the stuff and put it in her mouth but then she forgets what she's doing and it plops out and falls down by her legs and then she is lost.

I keep saying it but BOY is she sitting up well, right? It's exciting. To think she'll be crawling in a few months, I can't wait!

Diana

 

My sweet friend Diana sent these clothes for Maria, I'll post more but this hat is killing me. She also sent an Ugly Doll for Anthony and a small one for Maria. She lives in Washington and I never get to talk to her anymore. Mike and I saw her and her beautiful daughter Shen when we were in NYC last summer and then I saw her last fall when she was in town with her husband while he was working here, so that was nice. She is a dear friend to me and I couldn't believe all these sweet things she sent for Maria. She sent this onesie, another one, three long sleeved onesies, three pairs of socks, and the super cute outfit she was wearing yesterday. It was really nice of her so I want to publicly say thank you. And also isn't Maria cute? :)

29 Weeks

 

Cute. Still not sleeping great. Still won't take a bottle. Still, Cute!

She is sitting up so well. So well, in fact, that I left her on her own yesterday on the floor and BOOM! she smacked her face right on the hardwood floor! She was fine, just kind of indignant that I would let it happen. I was sitting right there, and she was totally sitting up for the longest time but I guess she just got tired. I really can't remember with Anthony how long it took before he was sitting up without falling over. I don't think it was too long, but Maria is not as physical as he was.

New ID

 

 

 

Mike got a new ID for work and Maria really likes playing with it. Mike is in some of the pictures, too!

Thursday

 

So yesterday Anthony was sitting in the chair and I smelled an opportunity to get a picture of the two of them together. I plopped Maria next to him and turned around to get the camera and poof! he was gone! He doesn't like enforced closeness with his sister, and I feel lucky that he is not rough with her so I am not going to push it. But I took Maria's picture anyway because I didn't want her to feel bad. I got that outfit at Meier, it's so cute. I can never find red clothes for her and I love her in red. Also, I figure 6-12 months is a good time for a girl to wear clothes that say "Whale" on them, she doesn't care or worry about her chubby thighs yet!
