...but Keep Reaching for the Stars, Maria. Ha. Mike and I were talking about her last night - is she worse/crazier than normal 18 month old kids or does it just seem worse because we're busy with the baby and Anthony? She's worse. I don't know any other kids like my kids. She wakes up early nearly every day, she gets mad quicker than anyone I've ever seen, yes, including me. Last night Laura came up with me to give Maria her bath. Maria had grabbed this rubber duck she has that lights up and Laura said "Wow! Maria, look at that!" and she turned off the overhead light so we could better appreciate the light on the duck. Holy. Crap. I wish I had picture of Maria's face when those lights went off! It was a scowl and a frown, mixed with a tiny bit of a threat and a LOT of WHAT THE HELL? WHERE IS MY LIGHT? Hoo boy. She is something.
Isn't this dress something? It's size two years so I wasn't sure if it would fit but it's fine. I think it's from the Colleen clothes but it could from Anthony's teacher. She is still healthy, thank God.
She looks like Laura here. She went to bed late last night and slept til 7 but Anthony woke her up. He is sick and Maria is driving him CRAZY so Mike took her to Target. I don't have anything nice to say about anything today but I wanted to get this picture up, she looks so sweet in it.
I forget if I've posted this outfit but it's super cute right? My Aunt Karen sent it for Maria. Maria woke up SO early this morning, but she is recovered, I think, with good naps. I hate that she wakes up so early but I love their early bedtimes. After around 5:00 I am OVER them.
She is much rougher with Veronica than Anthony ever was with her. I guess because she's younger? More of a pain? Who knows. Veronica has been crying and crying AND crying for the last 15 hours or so, so maybe Maria is sick of it too.
They both like pizza now, which is good. We love to add to the menu around here. Maria will eat anything that you are eating - like I was eating a salad the other night with asparagus and cherry tomato and she ate the HELL out of it. Sometimes it seems like she is getting by on just water and milk and other days she eats everything in sight.
So these are swimming pants. She came downstairs wearing them and I asked Mike what gives? He told me that she insisted. She is crazy - the other day I put her in two pairs of pants because she was wailing and wailing, handing them to me over and over.
Looking at a book (one of her favorites, even though it's Anthony's), and watching Blue's Clues. Maria slept late this morning, until 7:30, which is unheard of! Anthony slept late too, we had to wake him for school. No complaints!
...not going so well. Ugh, she is a SLOB and she hates to be cleaned up. I told her Anthony was much better at feeding himself at this age. She was up early again this morning but she has a little cold, from Anthony, so what can you do? It's always something - teeth, cold, general malaise. The baby was much less fussy - in fact, not fussy at all - last night so it's much easier to take everything else.
